Supermate is a client for your own self-hosted TeslaMate server. It is built on one principle: your data stays yours.
What we collect
Nothing. Supermate has no account, no sign-up, and no analytics. We — the developer — do not receive, store, or have any access to your data. There is no server of ours between you and your car's data.
Where your data lives
On your device. Your drives, charges, battery history and statistics are read from the TeslaMate server you run and stored locally on your iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch.
Your server address and credentials (API token, or username/password, or Cloudflare keys) are stored in the device Keychain and are never sent anywhere except to the server you configured. They never leave your devices and we never see them.
Optional iCloud sync. If you enable it, a small set of your own hand-entered data (electricity tariffs, driver names, which chargers are Superchargers, and similar) syncs across your devices through your private iCloud account. It does not pass through us, and it is off unless you turn it on.
Other connections the app makes
A few requests do leave your device, and none of them carry anything personal beyond the request itself: fetching your country's official fuel-price series (or, in the US, from the EIA using your own free API key) so the fuel-price comparison stays automatic — or you can skip this and set your own price by hand; loading Apple Maps map tiles to draw your routes; and Apple's StoreKit, if you choose to buy Pro.
What we do not do
No third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
No selling or sharing of data — there is no data of yours for us to sell.
No crash-reporting service of ours. A crash report you choose to send iOS goes to Apple under Apple's terms, not to us.
Children
Supermate is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone.
Cookies & storage
This website uses no tracking or analytics cookies. It only stores your chosen language in your browser (localStorage) so the site remembers it next time.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will appear here with a new date.
